What's New
The Martha Canfield Library Advocates Group is hosting again this year a Gala Dessert Party and Auctions on Sunday October 18, 2015 at 2:00. This well attended community event offers a fabulous opportunity to support your library purchasing a ticket or donating a work of art, vintage jewelry, collectable, gift card, craft, or any item of interest. Individuals and businesses will be recognized for their generous donations to the silent or live auction. We are also in need of volunteers to help host this event. Please contact Tricia Dudley (802-375-2219, This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) if you have donations to pick up or need additional information. Tickets are available at the Library for $10.00 each.

Free Events
The Fiber and More group meets the second Tuesday of each month (the next meeting is September 8) in the meeting room at 1:00. In this group you can learn to craft a sweater, practice turning a sock heel or learn to cast on evenly. We can learn helpful techniques for knitting or crocheting from one another, and enjoy each other's company. This event is for experts and novices alike. Please join us for friendship and to trade secrets.

This September the preschool story time theme is Things That Go. Young children are invited to a read-and-play group about planes, trains, buses, boats and cars. Story time is every Tuesday from 10:00 to 11:00. A snack is also provided.

Canfield Gallery
By popular demand our invitational show of five artists will be held over until September 26. Included in the show are oil paintings by Judith Kniffin, Mallory Rich and George Van Hook, pastels by Ellen Questel and Mallory Rich and pottery by Jessica Putnam Phillips. If you missed it August, here's your chance to stop in and see a lovely show.
