Join our Sunday Afternoon at the Library series as Vermont State Archeologist Jess Robinson presents an interesting look at an early period in Vermont's ancient past. The Champlain Sea was an inland arm of the Atlantic Ocean that occupied the Champlain Basin at the end of the last ice age. Recent research by Mr. Robinson and colleagues suggests that Paleoindians, the first Native Americans to enter Vermont, were drawn to the area partially because of the resources the Champlain Sea contained.
